Headphone mic isn't detected (Headset itself is fine)

My headphone mic isn't being detected in the sound control panel setting, and this has been going on since last year, and although it has been a long issue it did work before on my same computer (windows 10).

My headphone is not usb, it doesn't have a two jack split, I have tried to at least see if it was disabled (it's not), it works perfectly fine on my laptop that has windows 10, it also works perfectly fine with my phone, I've tried plugging it in through the pink jack but no sound is being detected and I've changed motherboards. I'm basically lost at this point

Key words "it doesn't have a two jack split". If you have single jack for phones and mic, you need a splitter for computer that has separate ones (Green and Pink). Just count the number of rings at the main jack and it will be clear.

Well, I tried using those splitters (and I shouldn't have to, because it used to work without any splitter) and it still doesn't work.

Standard stereo plug has 3 contacts and microphone needs one more so there's no way both can work like that. Each one needs own contact.
