Thanks for answering. Laptop: Lenovo Legion 7i Headphones: HyperX cloud alpha Speakers: Logitech Z120 Splitter: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07431YDWM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And the headphone mic does work without the splitter so I'm assuming either the splitter doesn't support it or I have to change something in settings.

Make and model of your audio equipment? A link to the audio splitter would help us two fold. Does the mic regain functionality when you remove the splitter and use the headset standalone?

Thanks. Would this work? The headphone and the mic share a jack. And the speakers could run out of the microphone slot? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Headset-Sp...jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==That is the wrong adapter, what you bought is to split a single audio stream into two to share with two headphones, not to use as a headphone and mic. The headphones use a 4 pole connection, that adapter is a 3 pole connection for only headphone use not a combo with a mic.
For this to work you would need a 4 pole splitter like this https://www.amazon.com/MillSO-Heads...ocphy=9001809&hvtargid=pla-568363539067&psc=1
The speakers should still work with it.
