I'm using a gaming headset with two jacks (Headset and mic. jack) on my Windows 10 laptop. Problem is, I cannot use two jacks at the same time. If I only plugin headset it, there is no problem but if i plugin two jacks at the same time, only mic jack working and headset not working. I've already tried to reinstall audio drivers (Olds and news). What should I do?

What make and model gaming headset?

Right click the small speaker icon usually located in the lower right corner of screen/monitor.

Double check the audio configuration settings. You will find multiple windows, tabs, and properties settings that control audio (microphone and "speaker"). Defaults may need to be changed.

Also look at the physical plugs on the headset: TS, TRS, TRRS? They must match the audio 3.5 mm (1/8") ports being used on the laptop.

For more explanation of TS, TRS, TRRS:

Many other similar links are available.

Do note that there are two standards: CTIA and OMTP.

You may have some mismatch causing the problem(s).

Hello and thanks for the feedback. Headset is Trust Carus GXT322. Also i try my old headset logitech g230 and problem still exsist. I just look jacks and i see both of them "TRS Type Male Audio jack ". Also i check configuration settings but problem is that both of the jacks do not work when I plug in the laptop. If i plug in mic jack, headphone jack just deactive and realtek says a "headphone jack was removed." but headphone jack is still plug in?

Let me explain problem one more time.

- First i just plug in only green (headphone jack) jack.

- After plug in pink jack (mic. jack). Realtek ask me to the mic configuration setting. And suddenly windows peeps and Realtek says "headphone jack was removed."

After all that i remove green jack and plug in again but it didn't work. I need to restart the windows to the jack work again.
