Hi guys
im not very tech savvy been having trouble with this issue for the past week, I have no idea what caused it.
At first my head phones were not being detected after trying to solve that for a while I became feed up and just refreshed the computer
there is no longer an red x next to the audio icon and the headphones show up in the volume mixer now
also when i go to playback devices the head phones are listed, they are enabled and set as default device
when I play a video the green bars move up and down in the vol mixer indicating it is playing
I have updated all audio drivers and it states all are up to date, I have tried disenabling the drivers and re-enabling them with no change, I have also uninstalled reinstalled the high definition audio driver listed under sound, video and game controls in device manager
but still no sound any idea what the problem is
cheers

edit: the headphones worked previously on the computer and they still work on my laptop
im not sure what you mean by make and model but they are move stereo headphones, says C1675 on the back (not sure if thats useful, just a cheap pair from dick smith)

update: although windows was saying the realtek high definition audio driver was up to date when i installed drive booster it showed this driver was infact out of date after updating it through this program the headphones no longer showup in the vol mixer. when i plug them in the speaker icon in playback devices changes from having an x next to it to a tick. Also when i plug them in the system sounds icon disappears from vol mixer. But still no volume any help please.
