Any suggestions, I have access to anything under the sun thats a headphone, here in Taipei. I mean they have EVERYTHING... its too much.. and crazy price ranges.
source is either my old school 4g ipod nano or my asus zenfone.
I do stronglifts 5x5 not much cardio.. but nothing more annoying than a headphone that falls out of one ear during a lift or a squat.

Your recommendations?
I prefer bass and mids to high pitched speakers. Rock music.

Pretty good chance that most of the products you see are knock-offs, fakes, or otherwise sub-standard.

Gyms are harsh environments: heat, moisture, vibration, movement.

You want a product that is durable, comfortable, and has a good warranty.

Look in the trash bins... that will probably tell you what not to purchase.

Best bet. See what other folks are using and wearing. Compare notes with them and sooner or later one product will stand out.

And be willing to accept a product that may not offer the color you want.......

I agree with your idea about observing what other people are using.
But your statement about knock-offs, and fakes is a half truth.
This isn't Hong Kong or Mainland China.. where fakes of everything are sold openly everywhere.

Taipei does have some obvious Beats by Dre fakes at the night markets, but in general everything else is legit.
So please dont spread misleading info about Taiwan.

I seen some crazy prices of $300 for in-ear headphones. I was perfectly happy with my $12 set from a grocery store... the humidity here wrecks stuff so fast.

I guess my max is about $40. USD. Since I didnt mention that.

Fair enough.

No slight intended towards Taiwan per se - just the world we live in these days....

At $12.00 set you could go through 25 sets for $300. And if something bad happened with respect to the headphones then you are only out $12 versus $300.

Or 3 of the 12$ sets for a total of $40.

Question now being will the total "survival time" of 3 $12 headphone sets be more or less than the survival time of the $40 headphones?

Do not feel that I can provide a direct product "suggestion" per se. The trade-offs: price, comfort, longevity/durability/quality, and intangibles (loss, damage, theft) are all basically risks that must be subjectively acceptable to you.

But my decision would be to stay with the $12 headphones that you like even if I had to tape it into place a bit....

Laugh, thats a good idea.. but unfortunately the geniuses who made these headphones put no branding on them... to hard to track down.
