Headphones not working please help

I unplugged my headphones, then plugged them back in. And now I have no sound. This happened to me before and I somehow fixed it by changing something in the realtech HD audio thing, now I cant find anything in there that will fix it.

Please help. I'm EXTREMELY annoyed at how long I have been working on trying to fix this retarded problem. Like so annoyed im screaming at my computer. I'm going insane.

Right click on sound icon - Playback devices - Right click on speakers/headphones - Set as default device

Actually, I found out. It was a really stupid way, too.

I had to open the realtek audio thing, then plug it in and out again. Then my computer detected it and asked what I wanted to do with it, choose headset, then done.
