Headphones not working properly

Okay my problem is really weird..here it is though, I hope someone will help!
My headphones used to be working just fine on my desktop before plugging it into my sisters laptop(not sure if that's what caused it), but now they are acting weird after that; in songs for example i can hear the music clearly but the vocals are so quiet!
I tried messing around a little and I found out that:
when the sound is supposed to play from the left/right side it plays normally but in both sides
but whenever it is supposed to play it balanced it's so quiet and glitchy...
hopefully I explained it well enough and if someone could help please do it ASAP

You got sound on the speakers? If don't,go to Device Manager,right click on the Sound,video,game controlers and select Update Driver Software. Maybe you got wrong drivers.
You can install Speccy to find your sound card name.

My drivers are all up to date and it was working just fine.
i tried my headphones with 3 computers and all had the same problem so i think it's from the headphones
does that mean i can't fix it?

If it doesn't work on any of your computers then your headphones are officially dead. This happened to me before

yeah i think so but i was just wondering cause they work fine when i disable left or right in the main volume balance thingy in my audio manager but obviously i won't hear any sound that's supposed to come from left
oh well thanks alot for your help anyway
