Headphones only play in right ear

My headphones only play in the right ear, and when i do a sound test, both the right and left sounds play in the right ear. I broke my old audio cable and have replaced it with a brand new Philips one.

First, you need to check the audio SOURCE works properly with another set of headphones.

I would also try your headphones on a different SOURCE.

I had the same issue and it ended up being the JACK for the source was defective so my headphone cable wasn't connecting properly.
