I bought my daughter a nice pair of headphones for school. She managed to ding up the metal plug on the end. It works fine, but it's bent and I'm worried it will break off in something. Is there a way to fix this? I have stopped using them.

Thanks.

Headphones are often damaged due to accidents and unfortunate circumstances. Cats/dogs chew on them, we accidentally yank the cord, et cetra. You could learn to solder (DIY) through some youtube tutorial or google how to repair such a task. Or you could contact the manufacturer and ask for a replacement/repair, which obviously costs some sort of fee. If it works, that's good. I don't see headphones as a permanent investment. Most people on average use them anywhere from 1 to 4 years and then change to a different one. speakers are more enjoyable, but you mentioned your daughter going to school so i understand the situation.

but to answer "is there a way to fix this", the answer is yes. solder on a new plug. if you're not technical or comfortable with this task, then someone else will probably charge you more than it's worth.
