Headphones suddenly don't fit laptop's jack in?

Hey!
Yesterday I was using my headphones with my laptop just fine, and today, I simply can't plug them in. The jack doesn't go in all the way. What could have happened?? How do I fix this?

possible broken pin inside jack hole, use torch to see inside hole if possible ... maybe just stuck.

if it is a pin stuck, you might be able to free it with a little wiggling using a toothpick.
if there is something trapped inside then it maybe hard to remove.

I would agree here. I had this happen on a power supply connector and a piece had broken off in it. I had to replace the who piece, I tried doing it myself, but I couldn't get my soldering iron hot enough lol. It was only like a $50.00 fix at a local shop. Compressed air might be able to blast it out too.
