To start, I didn't think this could go under "Home Audio" or "Mobile Computing" because both kind of fall under "Systems" 😀

Anyways, I am once again having trouble deciding what I should get. I went from gaming computer or iPad 4 to now. I want an iPad, but I also want to get a really good pair of headphones. I DO NOT want beats because they are way too expensive. I want good bass, and at the same time, very clear audio. I also wouldn't mind noise canceling headphones. My price range for them is around 300-400 dollars.

But then again, I really want an iPad 4 because I go places and have to sit around a while, and go on car trips, so I don't want to be bored. Also it is way more portable than my 15" laptop. BUT, its about double the price of the headphones I was looking at. ( Some headphones I was looking at were the AKG Q701, the AKG K 272 HD, the AKG K 550, the Sennheiser 650, and the Grado 325i. )

I would really like an iPad for portability because it's much easier than lugging around a 15" laptop. But then again it's around 2x the $$ price $$ of the headphones I was looking at. So I decided to post this for other peoples opinion which, most of the time, helps me make up my mind :)

do whatever your gut tells you. but if you are going to get headphones i would suggest the Audio Technica ATH-M50. they are studio grade headphones with amazingly clear sound and they are only 150 retail. there twice as good as those god awful beats and for half of the price
