Hello. I have a USB headset, which only works in the right ear if you don't bend the cable in a certain way. I've seen this issue on the internet, but only for the 3.5 mm jack headphones. The microphone works just fine, it's just the cable positioning that's bothering me. I haven't tried opening up the headset because I'm afraid I could damage it. It can't be the USB port on the pc, since I've tested it with a different headset. What could be the fix? Thanks.

If the headphones are in warranty, i would return them, these things dont get repaired, so you will end up with new ones or store credit.

But if thats not the case i would try to strip the usb cable from rubber and resoldier the connections, you can look it up online on how to do it.

:) other than that the problem might be a bad cable connection on the earpiece itself, in that case i think you would have to open it from the plastic.

The way I position the cable for both ears to work is not from the actual USB jack side, but the part that goes into the earpiece itself. I guess I could try the second option, since I can't really afford a new headset at the moment. If that doesn't work, I'll have to buy a new one, I guess. Thanks!
