[SOLVED] Headphones

I have these headphones, When I plug it in it lights up and it says headphones connected but when I play something there is no sound but in the sound settings I can see the green bars going up but no sound comes out of the headphone
any idea whats the problem

What is the headphones and does it have a volume wheel or anything on it? Mute button?

@Nemesia Its a gaming headset, With volume increase button and mic mute button but no mute button

@Nemesia its some chinese headset KOTION EACH g2000 and it has a slight wire damage near the headset plugging jack thing is it because of that?

Probably. Wire damage isn't good.

Contact their support, it's not unusual for cheap brands to not work properly. Any damage can be in theory fixable, question is how can it get fixed. You can take them apart and check the wires, for a cheap set it's not worth paying someone else to do it. If they came this way to you, return them for a new set.
