Headset analog line in vs Headset Usb connection

Hey everyone so i had a quick question for anyone who might have a better idea than me

I have been looking into the HyperX Cloud headphones (headset) for some time now.... these come with a cable that's split into microphone and headphones which considering i got a gaming motherboard with a boost of onboard audio this is gonna be good

Recently i discovered the announcement of the HyperX Cloud II ~ This one however comes not with a plug into the mic and headphone but instead a usb connection.... I gotta say I am not all to excited about the 2nd model, they have a sound card that's half way down the cable and i dont know how that USB cable is gonna fit with my Motherboard's sound boost....

Anyone have any ideas?

The CloudII would be more suited to someone who had poor sound coming from their mobo.

If you've got a Realtek ALC1150 chip in your mobo, then stick with Cloud I.

Yea this my motheboard: Gigabyte Z97MX-Gaming 5, dont know the name of the sound chip / card it has but i know it has something.

Haha nice thanks for looking that up I wonder if there is gonna be a price drop on the regular HyperX Cloud when the Version 2's come out.
