Hey guys recently built a computer and im not sure where i should plug my headset, is it into the from I/O or the rear of the PC?

The motherboard supports HD audio

The headset runs through its own ACU and then plugs into the pc through a 3.55mm and a usb lead, im just wondering where i should plug it to get the best sound?

Solution
Certainly it won't be a problem. If it was it wouldn't be supported. Probably you would only lose some software support. Again check with your own ears and judge what is better for you.
If the sound is coming from the 3.5mm jack then the mobo is your best chance. A lot of cases use cheaper jacks than your mobo. At any case you should try both and determine for yourself. If the sound quality is similar i tend to plug on the front of the case.

So confusing i have Realtek HD audio manager but when i open it and move the sliders it has no effect on my enabled headset in the playback devices, when i enable realtek hd audio device in playback devices there is no sound at all ! so coonfusing

Ok so when i disconnect the acu on my headset and just plug the headset directly into the 3.5mm hd audio jack at the front i can get this working , but is it a bad idea to just not use the ACU? that came with the headset? thanks
