Headset and speakers buzzing

Hello there,
My headset (Astro a50) is buzzing as well as my speakers (HP Desk speakers). Is this due to me using the onboard audio and would it be worth putting in an external or internal sound card? I should also add that my headset works fine when I use it with my Xbox via an optical cable!

how loud of a buzzing? like mosquito buzzing or like refrigerator buzzing? also what motherboard are you using? is it just a HP PC or is it a custom build?

The buzzing is noticeable but isn't too loud, but slightly louder than a mosquito. My motherboard is the MSI H61M-P31-G3 and the PC is custom built!

you don't have any wireless devices near your speakers do you?

No i don't, i was thinking i could be due to the fact they are onboard graphics and getting an external sound card would help?

Check your playback settings and make sure there are no "Audio enhancements" enabled.

it would, i'm not a big fan of usb audio but it would work.
