Hey all i was wondering if i could get some help choosing a headset. Right now i have cooler master sonuz headset but i find the mic picks up to much because the way i have my set up is my game volume goes through my speakers while Skype voice comes through my headset and it picks up game volume easily and my friends get very annoyed. So i was looking into a few headsets and would like if you guys could give a recommendation.

i was looking at the Steelseries siberia v2: http://steelseries.com/products/audio/steelseries-siberia-v2

the razer blacksharks:http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-audio/razer-blackshark

the asus orion pro: http://www.asus.com/ROG/Orion/

and the asus vulcan pro:http://www.asus.com/ROG/Vulcan_PRO/

I found these 4 to have best sound quality, nice microphones, comfortable, well designed and nicely priced but just can't choose.

As far as the mic picking up additoinal sounds I would think that you would have to try a headphone out to see if it's going to do the same thing that you have now. Your doing two things at the same time that have sound involved and you may have the same thing happen with a new headset. Do any of your friends do the same thing ? Do any have a different headset that doesn't pick up the sound from the speakers?
Before buying a new set have you tried lowering the mic sensitivity ? Maybe a combination of lowering the speaker volume and the mic sensitivity would solve your problem.

Well i have turned down the boost a bit since my friends have said i am loud, it was at a boost of 30db now its 10db. turning down volume on my speakers is not an option i already have it low as possible, i have a friend who has the same setup as me using turtle beach headphones, but i wouldn't like his headphones and it does pick up, not as much as mine though and i don't have anymore headphones in my home with the same quality so i can't really test

Feedback has to be looked at carefully because most people that have problems will post negative feedback while those that do not tend to not post any feedback. I found that in myself when buying parts and devices that if I am satisfied the leaving of feedback is not a first thought where if something is not right I'm more likely to leave feedback stating the negative results.
So I try to get multiple sites that have an item to get an over all feel for it. Plus I try to see if what they are saying is the same with most of the negative fedback.
I've seen some people leave negative feedback because the UPS guy was late or that the rebate took too long or they didn't get it. So I like to see what the issue is and is everybody getting the same thing.
For example if most of the negative feedback was because the mic was breaking off then that would tell me there was a design defect and everybody was getting the same thing.
