Headset compatibility w/Windows 10 problem

The Corsair Vengeance 1500 headset generally works properly as long as it's plugged in when my PC boots up, but sometimes the headset's light will turn purple, and when I plug it back in, Windows detects it but there is no sound coming from the headset at all until I reboot my PC with the headset plugged in, I have tried plugging it into my motherboard to no avail. I have tried installing the Windows default USB audio drivers and this is when the headset works properly without any issue, which makes me conclude that the issue has to be with the drivers and the compatibility issues with Windows 10. Is there any workaround for this as of right now? I can live with it, but it can be really annoying when I'm in the middle of a game or speaking to a friend/family and this happens. Thanks for any help guys
