Headset makes weird sound since i upgraded my gpu

I have a problem with my headset.
Ever since i installed a new graphics card (asus strix gtx970) my headset is doing weird.
My friend and i are always chatting with skype together.
But since i installed my new graphics card he can hear my gaming sound.
so for example , if i shoot in a game he can hear that. and on top of that he says that my mice makes an terrible hard sound.
But the weird part is, my mice makes only that terrible sound when i start a game?
can someone please help me

Did you install GFE?

Update sound driver...try using a different headset..
Try to remove ur graphics card and test it..
Go to device manager and check for any errors or hardware defect
