[SOLVED] Headset mic Not working

So long story short, I just bought a pair of trust gxt 313 headset and I wanted to connect it to my laptop, the headphones work fine (although they are not appearing in the device manager) but the mic won’t work, the only way I made it work is by making from one end cable, to two end with the adapter and connecting only the mic to my laptop, but I want them both, as the headset is at basic just one end and my laptop only has one jack... I tried all the things all around the internet, not working... I can’t even make the headphones appear in recording devices tab, nor the mic.... HELP

I also want to Say that They work on a older Lenovo laptop that has conexant but on my Lenovo y520 with Realtek they don’t......

that headset is using 4 pole plug, not every sound card has it, on smart phones its more common
anyway u will need to use "female trrs to dual trs male adapter" can be called splitter, breakout cable

seems like your notebook supports combo jack
did u check realtek settings if headset is enabled?

Realtek does not detect the headset... not in audio devices, not in every settings... I have it on show disabled and disconnected devices and the only thing that shows is speaker (although the sound is heared through headphones) and on recordings tab the integrated mic, which works...

open realtek hd manager/control panel, on right side you should see one input, click on it and small popup should appear, here select headset
