I just built my first gaming pc. Everything is going well. Then I try to talk to my friend on discord. I can hear him through the headset but the mic won't work.
Things that might help you help me:
All my drivers are up to date.
I built the pc (May be faulty wiring)
When I plug them in a realtek window pops up and tells me to choose what they are. There is no option for headset just mic, headphones and other various speakers. If I choose headphones the mic does not work. If I choose mic nothing works.
It works fine on my laptop and I've tried other headsets nothing works.
I have the b350 tomahawk
When I go to playback/recording devices. The headset is counted as a speaker on playback. No sign of the mic on recording even with "Show disabled" and "Show disconnected" both ticked.
I have windows 10 pro.
Headset is single jack.
I use the front panel pink jack. I've tried use all the jacks on my pc (Including back ones)
The realtek gui is blue with the msi logo on the top right off the screen
On recording there is a "Stereo mix" that is currently set to default.
Hope you can help. Thanks.
