Headset microphone doesn't work

I've followed some guides online, but nothing has helped. My microphone doesn't work, but everything else about my headset works. I can hear the feedback from my mic, and I can hear the audio from my headphones, but Windows doesn't recognize my microphone and can't find any problems with it. I have Turtle Beach X7s from 2012, but until now they were working just fine.
