hi, i got a headset when i built my PC but the problem is that when i tested the mic, it wont work. its been a couple weeks since and im only starting to use it. I have looked it up online and tried

- re-downloading drivers
- changing the audio ports
- messing around in the sound tab in the control panel

when i noticed something: the mic was corking but it was WAY too quiet. so quiet that the PC didn't even recognise it. i have already entered the realtek audio manager and put the volume for the mic to full with the audio boost up to the max (+30db) but it is being reconised but none of my mates can hear me on skype, cs:go or battlefield 4. i have tried every sound test i could find but no luck.

my headset is a Logitech G230 and it is a pretty good headset. the speakers work very well and in very good quality but as i said, the mic is not working for me at all. i went onto the Logitech website and went onto support and went to "my mic doesnt work" or something like that and i followed everything but still no luck.

i have gone into the steam mic settings and the mic is working very well there and can clearly hear myself but in cs:go i still cant talk whatsoever. in the windows mic setup it deos reconise it but it barely ever passes the yellow mark. how do i fix this? i dont think it faulty just yet. i also used skypes echo call but i couldnt hear myself at all. i dont know that i think i should, or someone will respond, but ok. i just used skypes echo call and i couldnt hear myself at all. i dont know if i should, but ok. so i guess that the adio settings in steam are the only ones working. in steam i can very clearly hear myslef and at some times, quite loud so the mic isnt faulty from what i can see.
