Question Headset microphone works on Discord and OBS , but not in Steam games - - - it picks up PC audio instead ?

Microphone on the headset works on discord and obs , but not in steam games, instead picks up pc audio
This started happening a while ago, whenever i use any 3.5mm microphone in steam games it just doesnt work, but you can hear all the pc audio, such as game audio, youtube or anything else.

So, i have tried eveything except reinstalling the driver, it appears that the microphone works as intended in the steam settings, but when i get into a game the microphone just produces static noise and the audio output from my headset. I have tried reinstalling now and the issue persists.

Also check under XBox game bar what input is assigned to the games. I’ve had this randomly choose another device.

I checked in gamebar too, it's set to my main microphone
