Headset no power

Hey guys and girls well got a bit of problem my headset for some reason is getting no power the headset is a (Asus Strix 7.1) and it comes with the the mixer now that's the problem the headset itself works perfectly i can plug it into the audio jack and boom it's on but the mixer is getting no power and headset will not work when i plug it it the mixer Ive tried different usb slots also ive tried to update my computer and make sure the drivers are updated all fine so then i tested to see if it was broken so i plug it into the laptop and drivers were found and boom the mixer is powered working fine.Ive also tried to switch the computer off at the mains and reset everything didn't work
and the last thing i tried was to go into device manager and uninstall all of the usb drivers and then reset and let them reinstall no luck i'm out of ideas now.

Pretty standard mobo beside the ASRock Full Spike Protection. No idea why, but the mixer module might trigger the port protection

Well like i said it works in my laptop fine it powers up everything is fine,but just will not power up on my computer and ive been using it for the past 6 months and one day i go to turn it on and that's it it won't work anymore so don't whats wrong ive tried my old headset and that doesn't work either so I'm stumped.
