So my problem is whenever I'm using my headphones I always get really bad static along with game or video sound. The static isn't awful while i'm playing but whenever I record the recording cant be heard over the headphone static. When I unplug my mic though the static cannot be heard. I was using turtle beach x12's and when i unplugged the mic there was no static. But when I used my beats headphones (plugged into front headphone port) there is still static playing through the headset. Any help is much appreciated. If you need any more info just let me know. Thanks for the help

Edit: Also my speakers work 100% fine, speakers are plugged into my wall outlet and rear L-Out port.

Generally if the headset is ruled out then yes, but it's not the whole story. Has this always occurred with this board, if so and it's unDer warranty I would rma it. Before that though are you plugging the headset into...

I tried that out but my audio was really low, but in the recording it was normal and there wasn't much static (still a little but nowhere near as much as before). Also in the recording it's not picking up my mic without all peripherals.

Sounds like the audio signals are getting crossed within the cable. Is there another system you can try the headset with. A sure way to tell is to plug the audio in one system and the mic in another. If you still get static this is definitely the case. Downside is there really isn't much you can do but RMA/Replace the headset.

Just tried the X12's and the beats on my laptop. There was no static at all on my laptop so I don't think the headsets are the problem. Is the issue completely with the motherboard?

Accidentally chose you as best solution (but you are being a great help, thanks). I found a small fix for my problem. I downloaded the Realtek hd audio driver and it worked. I've usually been plugging my headset into the front audio jacks and it causes static. I tried the back too and it was still static, but after downloading the driver it works in the back but not the front still. The back is fine I just have to unplug my speakers everytime I want to use my headset it's just a little inconvenient.
