So I recently bought headsets which come with 3 connectors (USB, 4 Pin Audio, and 4 Pin Microphone Connector). I plugged them into my desktop PC using the USB and the audio and microphone pin and when I open a game only some audio plays and some audio is distorted in inaudible. I played Hitman and the audio in the cutscenes was very distorted in inaudible, then I played some youtube videos and some videos I can hear the audio perfectly and others were very distorted or inaudible. But when I used them on my phone and laptop they worked just fine. I dont have an audio card if anyone was wondering.

Solution
Faulty, low quality components between and including the front connectors.

Manufacturers are doing everything they can to cut costs. Including component prices and the labor to put it all together.

Open the desktop case and inspect the audio connections to the front ports.

May be, at best, just a loose connection or faulty cable. At worst, a motherboard issue. May or may not be something configurable....
First when the headsets are plugged in, gently wiggle and twist the plugs and cables to see if some movement or pressure around the audio port being used makes a difference. The idea being that there may be a physical problem with or within the audio port.

And please remember that here are quite a number of audio related configuration settings available.

Right click the small speaker icon (lower right screen corner) and explore all of the settings and configuration options/properties.

First look at Playback devices and Recording devices. Then the other menu options as well.

No immediate need to change anything at first. Look at the current configuration and be sure to work down through all of the windows, tabs, property buttons, etc..

If nothing is found then fall back on reinstalling the applicable audio device drivers for your PC's motherboard. Download from the manufacturer's website.
