Yes, it is the green Mana Flare, but I have a question on its templating:

Heartbeat of Spring -- 2G
Enchantment
Whenever a player taps a land for mana, that player adds one mana of that type
to his or her mana pool.

Wouldn't this conflict with cards that give you more than one mana?

And suppose Wizards R&D decides to finally make a land that gives more than one
mana in combinations of colors ("This land comes into play tapped. T: Add two
mana of any combination of colors to your mana pool. This land deals 3 damage
to you.")? Which "that type" would it add?

"Conflict with" how, exactly? This is a triggered mana ability, it produces
one mana (and only one) when it resolves, and the player who is tapping the
land for mana chooses _which_ type of mana that one mana is if there is in
fact some choice.

Just like for Mana Flare, Winter's Night, Mirari's Wake, and the other
triggered mana abilities.

Just like for Mana Flare, the player tapping the hypothetical land for mana
has to decide which type the extra mana is.

This is by no means a new answer, it's been this way since Alliances at least.

I don't see why. "Type" does not encompass quantity. I think type here
just means color. I don't think it includes restrictions on spending,
such as from Mishra's Workshop, nor would it confer bonuses from the
new ChK legendary lands. I think.

You mean like Sungrass Prairie, Darkwater Expanse, et al, from
Odyssey?

The controller of the ability chooses which color it adds. Still just
one mana.

No. Why would it? You tap it for mana, you get one more. Doesn't matter
how much mana the land gives you, you get one more.

Heartbeat's controller would make the choice.
