Heat gun

Hi forum.

My current heat gun just got broken (electric motor failure) and I need a new one for the summer, as I have some paint removal projects this year.
I also plan to use this tool on other projects where the shear amount of heat in smallest amount of time are the biggest factor when buying (soldering pipes).
Therefore I only consider models that have a temperature rating of 650 degrees Celsius (about 1200 deg. farenheit) - and only corded models.
On the local marked in Scandinavia, there are typical different brands dominating in the stores that differs from the brands and models that typically gets reviewed on YT for US viewers.

But - my list of possible models of what are in store on this side of the pond and within affordable price range:
Tryton THL2000C
Rapid R2200-E
HiKOKI RH650V
Steinel 089603 HM 2120 E
HiKOKI RH650V
STEINEL HG 2320 E
Steinel 089665 HM 2320 E ECO
Metabo HGE 23-650
Bosch GHG 23-66
Steinel HM 2320 E KF
Steinel HG 2320 E
Hazet 1990N/6

Any one have any experience with any models - or brands that may have any experience to share? Maybe someone know something specific about a brand that may nudge me away or towards a specific brand or model ?

Pasting from spread sheet into forum appeared nice just after Ctrl+V - but after I posted, now it doesn't seem to be able to convert html tags.

I think I have a Bosch, but I also don't use it regularly. Hard to say how good the quality really is. Though most of my Bosch tools tend to do pretty well.

I think a lot of them are going to be made in the same factories to be honest.

General rule when it comes to tools is if you use one enough to break it, buy an expensive one to replace it, hoping it lasts.

I don't generally compromise on battery power tools though, pretty much stick to Dewalt. I really don't like buying those things multiple times.

Question, why don’t use use a blow torch for the pipes?

I do have one. However, I tend to forget to purchase fuel. With a hot air gun, I always have access to electric.

Btw: I went for the Bosch. That one seems to get decent reviews.

I also considered a Steinel with comparable price (not listed, I found that later), but turns out Steinel have only one year guarantee, and the heater elements are not covered by any guarantee - and thus it might not be a good choice for a private person.
