Hi guys,
I have been having a problem since I got the Coolermaster Cosmos. My system temps read between 90 and 98c. when i boot it up it is reading 88c according to speedfan and cpuID. I ahve noticed that sometimes when gaming it has locked up and upon restart it wont get past the post text..i am assuming this is heat related.
In the bios the readings are motherbaord-32, cpu-56, mcp55- 59(not sure what mcp 55 is)

My plan is to replace all 4 120 mm fans in the cosmos with faster fans...Any other suggestions or comments on my plan would be appreciated..thanks

If you haven't arranged your power and data cables to get them from blocking your airflow inside the case, do that. Move the cables/wires to the top, bottom, or side and secure them with ties so you have un-blocked airflow from front to back.

Then try new fans, get the highest cfm (cubic feet per minute) you can find.

It's easy to find out if you have a faulty sensor but you need access to cool outside air. Place your computer outside for 10 to 30 minutes depending on how cold it is. You don't want to freeze it just cool it. Power on and you'll see your CPU cores are cool but if your system temp is already 90 or 96, then the sensor is faulty. You can also temporary move your desktop like next to an open doorway where cool air can hit or you can remove the side panel and blow a desk fan into the motherboard for 5 minuites, then turn off, then turn on again, for the purposes of varying the temps and seeing how your sensors react.

im thinking its just a compatibility kinda issue where its reading the temp but like 40 degrees over

BTW when i cold start with ambient room temp of 70F the sestem automatically goes to about 80C

O and moab which board exactly do you have
I have the EVGA 790i SLI FTW
