Hey Everybody,

Im running an i7 950 OC'ed to 3.8 Ghz. 10 GB at 1700 Mhz...GTX 1070 8GB graphics card.

Noctua D14 fan and just repasted yesterday. Im getting peak temps on the core up to 75c...I think this is too hot.

Can anyone give any insight if this is OK or what I should do to minimize temps?

Thank you in advance!!

You are ok.
Dangerous temperatures for Intel are near 100c.
The cpu will throttle or shut down if it reached a dangerous temperature.

To reduce temperatures check your case fresh air intake capability. Any cooler, including the excellent D14 needs a supply of fresh air to do it's job.

Take the case covers off. If this helps a bunch, look to case cooling solutions.

It's ok. Most graphics cards run very hot and will be fine at that temperature.

Thank you - I'm just worried that those temps after a few hours of gaming will hurt the CPU - i used to be in the 60s...but just changed the graphics card and paste yesterday - maybe I got the paste wrong but not too much to mess up there.
