Does anybody have any good suggestions as far as software to measure the amount of heat that a computer puts off. I need to find something that will measure the amount of heat that computer and monitor put out.

usually the software provided by your motherboard manufacturer should work well, any generic software? i've seen a few, but they're not that great, i'll see if i can find it

you want to measure the amount of heat
that put out the pc and monitor,
or you want to see the temperatures in cpu,mobo,power suplly.
for the first option i do not think is such a kind of software,maby you must look someone else out of the pc platforms.
for 2 option the software cpmes with your mobo.

there is also SpeedFan and the sadly now discontinued MBM5
