Heating problem for E8500

I recently got a E8500 processor. I previously had an E2180, so I placed it with the same heat sink. After it the cpu is recently failing.,probably blue screen would come and restarts itself. I checked the cpu status with openhardware soft, then I found my cpu is running in 100 degree s. Do I need a new cooler.is "sickleflowx " a good upgrade. If not suggest me a good one

Did you clean the cooler and apply new thermal paste? A 92 mm cooler like https://www.amazon.com/RAIJINTEK-AIDOS-Cooler-Intel-Socket/dp/B00GOVA3XI/ref=sr_1_39?ie=UTF8&qid=1504184681&sr=8-39&keywords=socket+775+cooler will keep it way below 80°C.
