Heatsink came loose question

I just bought a Z97MX Gigabyte motherboard and one of the heatsinks was loose. So I popped it back into the slot. I feel like it's normal but was just wondering.

That could indicate some rough handling at some point.... you should reapply thermal paste / adhesive before reinstalling.

Thanks. I am just gonna return this to the store tomorrow and snag a new one. This time I'll inspect the darn thing before I leave.
