I put in a coolmaster 212 Evo cooler bout 2 years ago, after I did my cleaning (was pretty gunked) I am noticing the clamps are no longer holding the fan, when I say will not hold it, I find it randomly out of no where just sliding off. , I do not see any breakage or distortion in the plastic.but I do not want the fan falling on my video card.

I do not have any extra clamps is there any way else to fasten it on the heatsink, safely?

Any help would be most appreciated!

You sure you have them on right? From what i can remember they are pretty freaking tight.

it should require some force to get the wire clip around the notch in the tower fins.

I remember them being tight too, now that you mention it. I will double check right now.

Update: So it seems it could have been on tighter, it was a bit outside the indentation. I guess I was being too cautious, I will see if it happens again.

Its possible that that they are a little bent or worn out from taking it off/on for cleaning. I'm guessing this is the only safe way to attach the fans to the heatsink? I briefly looked on the coolmaster site to see if they sold extra clamps, but couldnt find any outside the kit Will check again, I may have missed it.
