Hello everyone, I am new here but i've been following the site for years. Now I have a question for everyone.
I'm building a computer with a Agena Phenom x4 9750... but it doesn't come with any cooling! So obviously I need to figure that out before I even purchase. Anyone have any suggestions on what to use? price is not too much of a problem... but i'd prefer it to be less than 50.

get a different CPU.

DO NOT GET A PHENOM 1 SERIES!!!

THEY ARE ALL S.H.I.T.

get a phenom 2, any phenom 2 is better than the best phenom 1

Yes CM V8 is a good cooler that looks very sexy, but it is expensive.

I second the upgrade to your CPU choice. A great budget CPU is the Athlon II X4 620 AM3 for $99.

As for the CPU Cooler, I would recommend either the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus or the Sunbeam CCF. These coolers will match the performance of the V8 for around $30.

wow, thanks everyone! i didn't expect such a quick response.
so, what about this processor? i plan on upgrading it to that x4 620 asap, but this will do for the moment. plus, it does have pretty good reviews thus far. also, i'd be upgrading from a 3800+, so it'd still be a pretty good upgrade, right?

The Athlon II X2 240 is a great budget dual core and overclocks nicely, so you will be fine with that chip.
