Question Heatsink for NVMe M.2 SSD?

Do I need a heatsink for this SSD? If so, what are some recommendations?

Edit: It seems that my motherboard already comes with heatsinks for the M.2 ports, according to this website. Am I correct in saying this?

Some use heatsinks on NVMe; some don't.

I don't.

Depends on how nervous temps make you and your general cooling setup and ambient temps.

My temps typically in 40s at idle; 50s when steadily reading; 60s when heavy writing; never above 70 unless torture tested. Critical temp for my NVMe is 80 per manufacturer's specs. Never hit that in 3 years.

Try yours without a heatsink and monitor temps. If unhappy or anxious, get a heatsink.

Is yours a Gen 3 or 4?
 
If a heatsink were deemed 'needed', generally something will be provided with the SSD....(be it just strip of thermal pad and/or actual finned heatsink, as PCI-e x4 does draw a bit more power/generate a bit more heat under sustained use...; how much air is blowing across that area on mainboard will make a difference as well..)
