Heatsink question AMD to INTEL

Hello, I'm trying to figure out if my heatsink from my current AMD phenom II will work on my new i5 4690 and new motherboard I just ordered.

I can't seem to figure out my heatsink model # but its an aftermarket one from scythe. I attached a picture.

Any help appreciatdd

and post which one. Check the spec and see if it fits lga1150.

CPU Heatsinks follow CPU sockets. It will say compatible with socket(s) blah-blah-blah.

looks like this one and would be compatible then. you won't know till you actually try. if it doesnt fit you can use the new intel build with the box cooler from the cpu anyway for a few days.

Looks like this is the one and it should fit. I didn't think to check the discontinued section, thanks.

Would anyone know if this heatsink would be okay for my i5 4690? I assume it would but just looking for some opinions. I know i've had it for a few years now and it is a bit loud. I keep reading about the cooler master 212 and might upgrade to that to keep the noise down.

Or does this make sense, lowering my RPM on the Scythe heatsink and adding one or two more case fans?(currently have just the one) would this help with noise/cost? I dont know the best route, temperature is a main concern but I'd like to keep the noise down if possible.

if it's loud i think you can replace the fan completely, seems a standard 92mm fan, and i would guess it will work better compared to the standard boxed intel cooler, worse compared to the cm 212 though.

also, it's mounted wrong in the picture, tilt it 180degrees such as to blow air though the fins towards the second cooler on the case to the back. like it is now, the cpu cooler takes air away from it.
