Hello so, i put a newer CPU on my computer, removed the Heatsink, put the new cpu on, and i put this stuff above the cpu

[thinking it was thermal paste, im dumb don't judge me]
Apparently this is silicone stuff for sealing materials and stuf, one question now,
how in the world do i get it off,
i've tried warming up the cpu and the heatsink with blowdryer, twisting it hard, it won't come off
help..

Solution
Wow! Dude really now? 😀 First of all unlock you cpu from the socket. Do not pull or twist it when locked, you can damage your socket. Pull the heatsnik with the cpu out. The only thing i can think of is that you could use a sort of alcohol and pour it between using a very thin medical syringe, in order to soften the silicon. Slowly and gently. Then try pulling it out.
P.S. This is just an idea i would do, i am not responsible for any damage !

I wouldn't risk using solvents on the cpu, just saying 😀

Noted. But your advice to use alcohol probably won't be enough. Either way, OP is definitely in a pickle.

They may have totally ruined that setup.

True. It is just that i don't want to see anyone blame it on me lol. As far as i know pure alcohol is safe to use. Then it's up to ones fantasy for what they can use 😀
