Hi,

I am planning on buying the AMD FX-8350 or 8320 processor with the Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 motherboard, and I was wondering if you guys know of any coolers/heatsinks that are compatible with both and will work well?

Many Thanks

Solution
1) Recommend to buy fx8320 instead the fx8350.
2) Change the MB to GA-970A-UD3P or Asus M5A97 R2.0, because they have more power phase count for the fx8 series cpu. And the Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 has lower count (4+1), you may use it for now, but you may or may not have problem in the future, the MB will have problem overtime, because the lower phase will try to work very hard to provide power for the fx8 series, that will cause over heat.
And if you have to buy the fx 8320 with Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3, and I recommend to buy the top-down blowing design cooler, like Scythe Big Shuriken 2 Revision B http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/cpu-cooler/big-shuriken-2-rev-b.html Antec KUHLER Shelf...

If you buy fx8320 + GA-970A-UD3P then you can get the popular hyper 212 evo or hyper212 plus, but make sure your case can fit this 160mm height cooler
