haha very funny. I wanted to know what game has the highest specs to play at a realistic framerate. Not for my system just in general. got it smart ass?

i think unreal tournament is pretty hungry.
it seems to rely more on processor power than the graphics card, so a 1000+ mhz processor is needed for those higher resolutions

No call for your remarks at all. The man pointed you to where it gives you what you originally asked for. Now you must make a choice!

you guys are far from reallity........
for UT, it's minimum requirements are just a Pentium 233 with like 32 megs of ram.....
but check weswood's newest 3d strategy game:emperor battle for dune.
it's minimum requirements are like a pentium2 400!!!and a 16 megs 3d accelerator and 64 megs of ram...i would say just hardware hungry......

Yes, thank you Kronos.

Geez, try to help some people, and they call you names. I feel like I'm back in kindergarten.

He started the other thread, that's why he was annoyed. I didn't even notice that.

Chief, I want to see u running the game with those specs. MAYBE @ 640x480x16 on at least a voodoo2 (UT is optimised for GLide and doesn't go less then that res anyway) with the lowest setting possible. MAYBE u will get 20-23 fps and that's with some ultimate LOD

Battle for dune sux  and don't try to flame me on that statement.

talking about far from reality.... :)
have you TRIED playing UT on a p2 233 with 32 megs ram?

my hamster thinks NO.

a couple of months back i still had my p2-300 with 256megs and a 32meg tnt2, and it was marginal at best. twaz running at 640x480 with detail down and it still chugged when a few rockets were flying and body parts bouncing. 10fps in that instance is not good.

mmmm baldurs gate 2 is quite a hungry game... at least with memory & hard drive space. now that REALLY chugged on my p2-300.

come to think of it i dont really play that many games. only the really worthy ones :). must be getting old.

*squeak* goes my hamster

battle for dune sux?????why is that?
and who said anything about running UT on those specs...
and by the way, UT can go way lower than these specs, on a much lower resolution and with a P2 450 with a very bad 3d accelerator, the game was totally playable, off course a lot of details had to suffer but it worked.

Did u read what I said? I said a Voodoo2 based accelerator on a p200 mmx. And no Glide doesn't go below 640x480. And yes I am speaking from my own experience. Btw, a 12 meg Voodoo2 is one of the best Voodoo's

I read that Max Payne performance directly depends on your system's 3dm2k1 scores

Yeah, my friend's 933/GF2 Ultra still chugs on it occasionally, though my 1.33/GF3 runs it smooth at max detail.
