Hi everyone! I am looking into getting a new laptop which can handle heavy video editing usage using Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop. The catch is that I do not want to spend more than $1,200 (hard limit) and for it to be a reliable brand (aka HP, Dell, Lenovo, Apple). I have been looking at the Lenovo Yoga 720 and the Dell XPS 15. I am not sure what else may be out there. I should also mention that if the laptop is a bit older, I don't mind. I just need the video rendering to be decent speeds.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations for me. I appreciate any help you can provide. :)

Okay, so after some searching, I found a great article on how to pick out a good video editing laptop based on what type of video editing I would be doing exactly. The article is here: https://laptopstudy.com/best-laptop-for-video-editing/

I narrowed it down to fast CPU with 6 cores (8th or 9th gen), midrange GPU, 16GB - 32GB RAM, small SSD with big HDD.

I did a search on these websites which allow you to customize specs: https://laptopmedia.com/specs/
https://www.newegg.com/d/Product/PowerSearch?SubCategory=32&N=100006740&IsNodeId=1

I came up with these results:

HP Omen 15 2018
HP Pavilion 15 Gaming Notebook
HP Omen 15t Gaming and Business
Dell G7 15 7588
Alienware 15 R4
Lenovo Legion Y7000

These are all midrange finds. There would be a lot of lowend results with Nvidia 1050s like the Dell XPS 15 (cost around 1,100).

If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm open! I hope this helps someone else out. :)
