Question Hebrew subtitles displayed in Gibberish in media player

Hello.

I've downloaded a subtitles file for a movie I have. When displaying the file as a TXT, it shows the subtitles properly in Hebrew, however when playing the movie, the subtitles display in Gibberish.
Other subtitles display properly however they are not synced unfortunately and that file is the only synced one apparently (I can tell by the punctuation marks).

I would appreciate any help, thanks!

sound like the media play can't handle the font, try another one?

Open your subtitles in Notepad, you say you can read them. Save them in Unicode format (File | Save As -> Encoding -> UTF-8), and try them again. Check with video player' makers whether they support Unicode subtitles, and how to select them. You can also try alternative players (VLC is well-known for being easy-to-customize).
