You can resolve the error by copying that file from:
C:\WINDOWS\repair to C:\WINDOWS\System32.

What do you mean by " copying that file from:
> C:\WINDOWS\repair to C:\WINDOWS\System32."

You have me totally lost. I am having this problem with all of my Dos games
suddenly and when I checked, I have the set to run as Windows 95, though I am
using the latest version of XP plus have service Pack 2 installed. This just
started happening about 5 days ago. These same progams are working fine on
my husband's computer and the only difference is, he has a slightly older
version of XP plus the Service Pack 2 installed on his machine.

I can really use some help with this.

Hi Sue,

I'll break that up into steps for you. Hope it helps! 🙂

Use My Computer to browse to:
C:\WINDOWS\repair
Right click the file named: AUTOEXEC.NT
Select COPY

Next: Use My Computer to browse to:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
Right click an empty spot in that window
Select PASTE
Say yes if asked if you want to replace existing file.
