Hello all , so my friend has gtx 1050 ti with core i5 650 3.2mhz and 8 gb of ram . So he though it will not run a 2017 games at high or ultra , so he tried some games , he tried battlefield 1 actually it works like 40 - 49 fps on ultra i mean thats really works , gta 5 on ultra get 45 fps , watch dogs 2 he cant reach ultra he gets like slow mo gameplay , so he put it on high and get 39 fps , so i want to get the same pc of my friend , what do u think about these game performance and etc... And tell me if i can get the same of my friend ... Much appreciate

If you were playing on ultra with a 1050 Ti and had magically had no processor bottlenecks at all:

Watch Dogs 2: about 30 FPS
BF1: around 40 FPS

If you turned things down to medium or low you could get higher framerates. Ultra really is going to bring down your FPS on that card. It wasn't designed for playing on ultra. Even if you had a Core i7-5960X you'd still only get 30FPS in Watch Dogs 2. Your graphics card is the primary determiner of your max frame rates. Anyone that says otherwise is misinformed. If you want to play on ultra I would get a GTX 1060 minimum and move to a new platform. If you got a good GPU like a GTX 1070 you'd then have issues with your CPU hard bottlenecking you.

Upgrading to a 6th gen is not really a smart...
It's really the GPU that determines if you can play games on ultra. Even on an i5 650 the card is probably maxed out. Hard to say which one it is. I'd look at task manager to see which one is actually bottlenecking you.

You definitely want to get off 1st gen core i5 at some point though. Not ideal.

Just you need new and latest processor.

Here are some options.
1. Intel core i3 6100 (6 th gen)
2. Intel core i5 6400 (6th gen)
3. Intel core i3 4110 (4 th gen)

Note you have to buy compatible motherboard for 6 th gen and new ddr4 ram
Here are se mobo
1. gigabyte ga H110m s2

For 4th gen
Gigabyte ga h81m ds2
And you dont need to buy latest ddr4 ram because 4th gen processors supports ddr3 ram.

I suggest to buy i5 6400 with 8 GB of ram for god like gaming performance.

Your cpu is good but not enough to run call of duty ww2 but if you use i3 6100 or i5 6400 it can run at high settings at 60+ fps.

But your i5 650 can't run call of duty ww2

If you use i5 6th gen you can play all games till 2020 at high settings.

And your graphics card is latest so it can run almost all games.

There's no reason at all to upgrade to an old platform like 6th gen. It's not like 6th gen is going to work with your motherboard. If you were rebuilding, i5 8400 or 8600k or Ryzen 5/7 would be what you are going for.

I see many people pair newer graphics cards with older processors like i5 or i7 first gen. Can result in CPU bottlenecks but works for some people.

1050 Ti is not a card that will allow you to play 60fps on max settings unless it's a light game like League. Most will turn settings down to medium with high in some areas low in others.

Yes but i5 8400 and its motherboard is lot expensive.
And 6th gen sits cheap. And not too old.

Thank u all guys , but just one question , now if i want to get 1050 ti with 650 cpu i5 and 8 gb ram can i run games like watch dogs 2 or battlefield 1 on high with 40 fps? Or 30? And can u guys tell me if i can get 60$ cpu is it good with this price ? Much appreciate

You'd probably get around 30FPS with the i5-650.... As for a $60 CPU? Not likely, since you'd also need a new motherboard to match. New RAM too, if it's a new enough generation.

Upgrading to a 6th gen is not really a smart thing to do. Ever. It's a dead platform. You'd be better off just buying a 7th gen prebuilt. Probably isn't a bad idea actually as you really need both a new CPU and GPU. The only thing less appealing would be building a gaming PC with an old gen Core i3. Prebuilts are a very cost effective solution right now.

Thank u very much guys i really appreciate your answers for this , so 1050 ti with 650 i5 cpu is ok to play battlefield high at 35 fps so its ok than , so it doesnt make a big different if i even get core i7 with gtx 1050 ti? Right

If you can't get 35 FPS then you could always turn things down or cap it to 30FPS.

Why aim for 35FPS? Playing shooters at 35FPS is quite awful. I would either play on medium or get a stronger graphics card if you want Ultra settings that much such as a GTX 1060.

Seriously consider a prebuilt though. You need both a new CPU and GPU.
