hey guys i am upgrading my pc from a q9550s 4 gb ddr2 800 mhz ram and mobo dg31pr to this ( new build displayed in pic ) what i want to know is would this be a good upgrade and are the parts good to run games on highest btw my gpu is the ati radeon hd 5870 2gb ddr5 < tnx guys

if you have a Q9550 and a HD 5870 from about 3 years back, you should still be good for most games.

I would get a i5-2500k@3.3 ghz instead of the amd
mobo-Get a gigabyte or asus board
memory get kingston,corsair, or g.skill

cores dont matter for gaming. intel is the better gaming brand

Yeah but don't get an i7 the i5 is perfect for gaming. Get the memory and cpu i put and the mobo you put.

Yeah i think atleast 3 years with no upgrades upgrading parts here and there every 3 or 4 years...8-10 years
