I have an Pentium 4 LGA775, Intel 2.93 processor, single core and want to replace it with an Intel Pentium 4 670 prescott processor, am I just crazy or will it just not work with this motherboard? I tried to install the CPU in the Goldfish 3 MOBO and the computer would power up just long enough to briefly turn on the monitor allowing it to go into power saving mode, it would not even stay on long enough for me to see if it was possible to even enter Bios, before the computer would just shut down, Please help, Thanks,

Marc

Here is the link to HP's site and this is what I found: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00300046.

CPU/Processor
•Socket: LGA775
•Supports processor up to 3.8 GHz
•Supports Intel Pentium 4 HT processors
the Pentium 4 670 is a 3.8 Ghz processor but it also has Hyperthreading as well. If the HP site is wrong please advise and I will look for a Pentium 4 HT
processor, my main question still remains, Will this motherboard support a dual core processor?
