will an i5 760 or 750 make my pc better and faster ?

Solution
Performance dont really add up like that. For example a 2 core CPU gets 100Fps then a 4 core would only get 150Fps. The reason is because it dosnt just rely on your CPU but also your Graphics card. It is very hard to tell exactly how much better it will be so the estimate is the best i can give you. You will have less bottle neck but some application wont use all 4 cores. A 1core upgrading to 2core will double performance but a 2core to 4core will only do about halve of the doubling since the diminishing returns.

I wouldn't upgrade to that i5. It may be a quad core CPU but that 2.8Ghz Could really kill in gaming. Can you give the motherboard that your using. Get a i7-870 if you really want a CPU upgrade. Getting a RX 460 or 470 could be the next step for more improvements.

Edit: a i5 2400 might also work

Yeah those open world games do need a good CPU.The I7 will do about 50% better than your i3 but to the i5 it will only be about 15% better. The reason to go for the I7 is because it could be overclocked better and last you much longer to the I5. Since this is old CPUs they wont be that much more. If you don't want to spend the money they get the I5. As to which one defends on the price you find them at. the 760 is just a higher clocked version but if you can find a 750 for much lower (E.g 30% cheaper) it might make since to go for that but have much lower overclocking capabilities.
