I'm harmless really. More of a mumbling idiot, really, with a slight
tendency to get upet over unwashed dishes... I found three today - I could
have very nearly uttered a mild swear word!!

So, how have you been Cassie? I see this place is as teeming as ever...

This place has its ups and downs. Downs, mostly.

I've been doing fine. I'm in university, working towards some sort of
degree. I'm not sure why. I have no plans to leave my current job, but I
suppose a degree leads to security in case this doesn't work out.

How are you?

Bottomless depths more like...

Oh I'm all right, thanks - botched up a degree in my first year (not
attending the exams didn't hlp), have ended up working for the social
services and somehow got into a senior finance role. The stress is hell
though... Still have a katana, and I haven't broken this one yet...

Is the IRC channel still around?

Sounds like a good job, not including the stress.

> Is the IRC channel still around?

I never spent much time in it, so I don't know. Do you mean the channel
on esper.net?

I haven't been round here for ages. Even alt.games.final-fantasy is a bit
dead.

It's not so much dead as boring.

That's true. I post mainly during and after I've finished playing one of the
games.

The only Final Fantasy games I've completed are FF3us and FF7, so I have
little to add nowadays!

The chan seems to be dead too.
I guess kids these days go to "forums" instead of newsgroups.

So sad. I was in the mood for a good rant.

Hrm, I see you haven't changed much then... Still selling your soul to
Microsoft?

You now how we old-timers are... so set in our ways, brutally violent
as those ways may be.

Sold it for a hefty sum. They completely own me.
On the plus side, I get great discounts on some XBox gear & games. I
guess it's also on the plus side that they took my conscience along w/
my soul so I feel free to do whatever the hell I want. No more silent
and demure Kokiri Kid!

Yes, I think the forums are more poplular, but I like the simplicity of
Usenet with everything being there in one place rather than different sites.
