Hello all,

Hope I put this in the right place... if not, I apologize. So after many modifications, the HP PC I have been gaming and video editing on is finally starting to bite the dust. It's been a long time since I have looked into PC parts and was wondering if I can get some help with a parts list for a PC that will be used for both gaming and video editing. My budget is $1000. I'm mostly a Steam gamer and have ran everything I own on mostly medium settings due to the limitations of my current PC. I'm a videographer in my spare time and do editing as well. I've had an AMD processor this whole time and have had trouble with it in the past but I'm not sure if the current intel processors will fit into my price range, but I would prefer it. I have always liked windows 7, but understand it's being phased out. I am a bit concerned about the privacy issues I have read about windows 10 but I am open to suggestions about a new OS if anyone has any opinions. Thanks for your time and help.

Agreed. If you're willing to spend an additional $90 later on down the road, you can put that extra cash into better performance now.
